1/1/2017 – THIN DISGUISE

THIN DISGUISE

Though new love views with lenient eyes
And lovers use convenient lies

To celebrate and eulogize
Some peccant trait they do despise

That quirk ensures true love’s demise
When scorn abjures its thin disguise

Impassive Venus hears the plea
“Peccavimus” most frequently
